Cairo, 28th January 2025: GAMERGY Egypt is launching its first edition in Egypt within two days, hosted by IMKAN Misr at Alburouj New Heliopolis, from January 30 to February 1, 2025. Under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy Amer, the Minister of Youth and Sports, and the Egyptian Esports Federation, the Festival will bring together gamers, industry leaders, and esports enthusiasts to celebrate this dynamic and rapidly growing field.
GAMERGY Egypt is organized through a strategic collaboration between IMKAN Misr, ievents, Influence Group, eProjects LLC, and MENATech Entertainment—leading companies in real estate development, event management, communications, and experience creation, respectively.
As the first festival of its kind in Egypt and the region, GAMERGY Egypt is hosted and sponsored by IMKAN Misr at the state-of-the-art Alburouj New Heliopolis, whose visionary leadership and world-class facilities have set the stage for this groundbreaking event. The event is powered by e&, with entertainment partner Twist Music, official ticketing partner TicketsMarche, official energy drink Red Bull, and Samsung, which is providing mobile phones and TVs as the electronics partner. The Festival is also sponsored by Domty and the Export Development Bank of Egypt- EBank.
The Festival prominently features participation from international esports teams, making it a vital platform for discovering skilled Egyptian players. The presence of these global teams enhances the competitive environment, providing Egyptian gamers with the opportunity to showcase their talents on a worldwide stage. Along with cosplay competitions, the Festival will host intense three-day tournaments for a range of competitive games where players can display their skills and abilities, competing for a share of over EGP 2 million in cash prizes.
